Remote Web-Based Control
ASWM enables users to monitor system status from remote locations through the internet. ASWM provides a user-friendly interface by utilizing pictures and icons to help system manager identify system status easily.
Warning Functions
When system event occurs, ASWM will send e-mail or mobile phone message to preprogrammed recipients.
Fast System Diagnosis
The System View feature of ASWM consists of a computer generated image of the server, clearly illustrating system operation on every major component from the front, rear and top of the system. When system event occurs, a signal appears on the server image next to the component that causes the event.
Clear Status Information
The Health Information feature displays key system status such as temperature, component voltages, fan speed and capacity.
Automatic Update Real Time Chart
ASWM automatically updates system status every 5 seconds by setting a real-time chart for CPU operations, memory capacity, motherboard temperature etc. This feature provides the most up-to-date information and allows system managers to identify system events quickly.

ASWM supports Windows® XP, Windows® Vista, Windows® Server 2003, Red Hat® Enterprise Linux 3.0/4.0.
ASMB3-SOL PLUS (V3)
IPMI 2.0 Management Card with Out-of-Band Management Capability
IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) is a standard intelligent interface of server management. ASUS ASMB3-SOL PLUS (V3) Module is IPMI 2.0 compliant and provides the OS-independent and cross-platform interface for monitoring the server system such as temperature, voltage, and Fan status etc., while MIS can be informed via real-time event notification.
Through the integration of ASMB3-SOL PLUS (V3) (IPMI) and ASWM (ASUS System Web-based Management), MIS is capable of monitoring the running status of major components via LAN or Serial Port, such as CPU and memory utilization, storage capacity and networking transfer rate...etc. MIS can also pre-configure the critical values for the monitored items. When system event occurs, MIS will be notified by SNMP trap and take necessary pro-active actions to maintain the system in health all the time.
The ASMB3-SOL PLUS (V3) module is supported by the new generation ASUS server systems. Designed with SO-DIMM interface, the ASMB3 module is horizontally populated on the motherboard. There is no system expansion slot to be sacrificed for advanced server management function. Featured with the slim dimension, ASMB3-SOL PLUS (V3) conserves space significantly and keeps good system thermal flow path.
The ASMB3-SOL PLUS (V3) module offers advanced server management functions including "remote power on/off/reset", "remote control via SOL" (Serial-over-LAN) and "remote SEL" (system event log reading when the system is out-of-band). Through enhanced data encryption (in Advanced Encryption Standard), the internet security can be protected. Moreover, with the help of ASUS P505 PDA phone, ASMB3-SOL PLUS (V3) easily reduces the cost of manpower by event-notification to standard mobile phone via SMS system. Furthermore, the module supports Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), which avoids manually assigning IP address by setting DHCP mode to receive IP address automatically.

IPMI 2.0 Management with KVM over LAN
With ASUS ASMB3-IKVM, the servers can be remote-managed from anywhere, anytime. ASUS ASMB3 IKVM Module is IPMI 2.0 compliant and provides the OS-independent and cross-platform interface for monitoring the server system such as temperature, voltage, and Fan status etc., while MIS can be informed via real-time event notification.
Through the integration of ASMB3 IKVM, MIS is capable of remote real-time access to servers with full control by keyboard, video monitor and mouse (KVM) of a single local computer from anywhere at any time. In addition, KVM function is based on BIOS-level access, therefore, even the server OS is down, the KVM module can still work to provide around-the-clock remote monitor and diagnosis through GUI (Web-based Graphical User Interface).
The ASMB3 IKVM module offers advanced server management functions including "remote power on/off/reset", “remote hardware health monitoring” and “system event log”. Through the enhanced data encryption (in Advanced Encryption Standard), the internet security can be protected.
KVM over LAN allows administrators to share the date saved in a local drive (floppy, CD/DVD-ROM, flash device, HDD) to target servers, which makes data-sharing convenient.
